US Quad Rugby Team Arrives in Argentina

Hello from Argentina! First, thanks for all the support. My day started on Sunday morning a 1:30am, driving from Paso Robles to San Jose airport arriving there at 4:15am. It was crazy foggy. I then left for Denver, where they lost my everyday chair….not the way I wanted to start an international travel day! That entire lay over I spent in an “airport chair” with them promising me that it will be in Washington D.C. when we arrive. It was.

The USA Quad Rugby Team met in D.C. and everyone looked great. We had a 5hr lay over. We all just relaxed, ate and got ready for the long flight to Argentina. Everyone seemed to do fine on the 12hr flight. All the luggage, gear and chairs arrived in good condition. It is always a big concern that our rugby chairs make it with no damage.

We are staying at nice place called the Cristal Palace. The staff here has been great so far. A few of us then headed off to get a little push in and find a local place to eat. We ate at an Italian diner. The pizza was good. Most players are now stretched out on their beds relaxing.

We have a team meeting at 7pm tonight. Tomorrow we have a tour of the city, classification and a 3hr practice. We just want to get the competition started!

More to come soon. I hope that you all are doing great. Oh Ya… the weather here is nice. It is their spring time.

Brent

PS: To Chucks parents…he is doing great and I am on him about his college school work :)
