what kind of a support surface would be best for a 6 foot tall 300pluss pound man whom is a c1 quad on a vent who spends most of his time in bed not just for sleeping. Bath,watching tv,range of motion, all adl care. who is also in prosses of trying to heal a stage three ulser.He also has verry strong mustle spazems.he needs to be pulled to the edge of the mattress to turn so that when we turn him his arms and legs have support.we can position them but if he spazems they straitenout and kick, so at least a56 inch width is needed to prevent falling out of bed and off the vent. a low air loss mattres was proscribed, and has a flaw, no head suppport, due to inproper support surfice. now a overlay is going tobe temperarly used is this going to acommadate all of his medical needs or is this overlay just for sleeping on? just want to know if this is the best alternative whall a supply company and inshurance get it figured out..waiting and worried…………
